The Macdougal Bay is a small bay on the north coast of Laurie Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is bordered in the west by the Ferguslie and in the east by the Watson Peninsula .
Participants of the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) mapped the bay in 1903. Expedition leader William Speirs Bruce named it after James Macdougal, third mate on the research vessel Scotia .
