The Ferguslie Peninsula is a 2.5 km long peninsula on the north coast of Laurie Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It lies between Browns Bay and Macdougal Bay . The Cape Geddes forms its northern end. To the north-north-west are the Rudmose Rocks , a group of small rock islands, around 800 meters away .
Participants of the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) mapped the peninsula in 1903. Expedition leader William Speirs Bruce named it after the residence of his financier James Coats Jr. in Paisley, Scotland .
