The Macey Cone is a 125 m high, extinct volcanic cone on the island of Heard in the archipelago of the Heard and McDonald Islands in the southern Indian Ocean . It rises 1 km northeast of Cape Laurens above the lava cliffs at the northwest end of the Laurens Peninsula .
Participants in the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions conducted surveys in 1948. They named him after Louis Edward Macey (1911–1986), chief radio operator on this research trip .
