history
The Knights were founded in 2000 and played in af2 from 2001 . The Knights lost their first game in franchise history on April 7, 2001 against the Augusta Stallions at home in front of 4,532 spectators with 60:64.
The franchise reached the postseason in four of the six years. In 2003 they moved up to the ArenaCup , but lost it with 40:58 against the Tulsa Talons .
After the 2006 season, the Knights announced that the franchise would dissolve due to low audience interest and a lack of sponsorship.
