Madalena da Silva

Madalena Fernandes da Silva (* in Viqueque , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor . She is a member of FRETILIN .

The Indonesian occupation (1975-1999) spent Silva in their homeland Viqueque.

In the 2001 elections, Silva was elected to number 16 on the FRETILIN list in the Constituent Assembly, which became the National Parliament of East Timor when it became independent on May 20, 2002 . In the assembly, Silva supported the inclusion in the constitution of a separate section for the protection of the elderly (section 20).

In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , Silva no longer stood as a candidate.
