Mady Correll
Mady Correll (born April 19, 1907 in Montréal , Québec , Canada, † December 18, 1981 in Los Angeles , California ) was a Canadian actress .
Correll made her first short film in 1934. A high point of her career was the female lead in the drama Midnight Madonna alongside Warren William . Without ever making a big breakthrough, films like 1946 The Best Years of Our Life followed , where she played a small supporting role. Correll had the greatest success of her career in her last film Monsieur Verdoux - The Woman Killer of Paris as Mona Verdoux at the side of Charles Chaplin .
Mady Correll was married to fellow actor Warren Ashe (1903-1947). She died of stomach cancer in 1981 at the age of 74.
