The Mae Nam Ruak ( แม่น้ำ รวก , pronunciation: [mɛ̂ː náːm rûak] ), or just Ruak , is a river on the border between Myanmar and Thailand .

It rises in the mountains of the Daen Lao Range in Shan State in Myanmar and flows through this area to the Thai border. From there it forms a border river between these two states over a length of 26.75 kilometers . In the Thai district of Amphoe Chiang Saen , the Ruak flows into the Mekong . This area, also known as the Golden Triangle , is the border triangle between Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.
