Band history

The producer behind Magazine 60 was Jean Luc Drion, who together with Dominique Régiacorte also did the composition. For the only album release of the project, he hired the singer Veronique Oliver. In 1985 the single Don Quichotte reached number 56 on the US Billboard Hot 100 , while Maxi reached number 18 on the Maxi Singles Sales Charts. The title was also successful in Europe , in France it stayed in the charts for a total of 23 weeks, the highest rating was number 10, while in Austria it reached number 25. Drion turned to other producer activities, including the band Monte Kristo , there were no more new releases. In the United States, the single Pancho Villa was released in 1987 , but did not reach a chart listing.

In 2007 will.i.am released the track I Got It From My Mamma , the chorus of which is based on a guitar sample by Don Quichotte . Jean-Luc Drion and Dominique Régiacorte are therefore named as co-authors.
