Magdalena Waligórska
Magdalena Waligórska (born November 24, 1980 ) is a Polish historian .
Life
She studied English Philology at the Jagiellonian University (1999–2005); Specialization: British Cultural Studies and European Political Sociology at Högskolan Dalarna (2003–2004). After receiving her doctorate in cultural history at the European University Institute (2009), she held teaching positions at the European University Viadrina , the Humboldt University in Berlin and at the Free University of Berlin . She was the coordinator of the project “Europe and Beyond. Transfers, Networks and Markets for Musical Theater in Modern Europe ”at the European University Institute in Florence (2010–2011). From 2011 to 2013 she was an Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Chair of Modern German Literature at the Free University of Berlin . She teaches as a professor for the history and culture of East Central Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries with a focus on Poland at the University of Bremen .
