Magdalena Zawada [ maɡdaˈlɛna zaˈvada ] (born November 28, 1985 in Sopot ) is a former Polish natural track tobogganist . She competed in the World Cup for three years and took part in the 2002 European Championship .

Career

Zawada made her debut in the World Cup at the beginning of the 2001/2002 season . Overall, she took part in five of the six World Cup races this winter and was only able to place in the bottom field with results between 13th and 15th, but in the overall World Cup she was 13th out of 26 tobogganers who won World Cup points this winter. She also took part in the 2002 European Championships in Frantschach-Sankt Gertraud , where she came 17th out of 19 rated women tobogganers. In the 2002/2003 season , three more starts in the World Cup followed. With placements between 11th and 13th place, her results were slightly better than in the previous year, but in the overall World Cup she dropped two places because of the lower number of races. At the European Junior Championships in Kreuth in 2003 , she finished third from bottom to finish 20th. Zawada only took part in two World Cup races in the winter of 2003/2004 , but achieved two placings in the middle of the relatively large starter field with around 20 tobogganers with positions 11 in Olang and 13 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . At the Junior World Championships in Kindberg in 2004 , she finished eleventh out of 19 rated female tobogganists. After 2004, Zawada did not take part in any competitions.
