Maggie Shipstead
Maggie Shipstead (* 1983 in Mission Viejo , California , USA ) is an American author .
Life
Shipstead studied American literature from 2002 to 2005 at Harvard University , where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts . This was followed by an Iowa Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa , from which she graduated with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA). There she studied with Zadie Smith, among others . From 2009 to 2011 she worked, supported by a Wallace Stegner Fellowship in Fiction Writing , at Stanford University in Stanford , California.
