Scheme of the passage Tombs

The completely undifferentiated passage Tomb of Magheracar ( Irish Machaire Cairthe ) west of Bundoran in the extreme south of County Donegal near the border with County Leitrim in Ireland has already sunk halfway into the sea due to coastal erosion. From the remains of the southernmost megalithic complex in County Donegal, a narrow, approximately 4.0 m long trapezoidal chamber made of at least 12 bearing stones was to be reconstructed, which was located in a round hill surrounded by curb stones.

Nearby are the remains of a Wedge Tomb . About 8 km to the east is the Court Tomb of Ballymunterhiggin .
