history

Magna Carta was founded in April 1969. At the first concert on May 10, 1969, Chris Simpson (guitar, vocals), Lyell Tranter (guitar, vocals) and Glen Stuart (vocals) were there. They released their first records on the labels Fontana Records and Vertigo Records . Davey Johnstone was involved in the first three studio albums . Magna Carta caused a sensation in 1970 with the concept album Seasons , on which Rick Wakeman worked as a session musician.
