Magnus Åström is a former Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Åström made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 30, 1986 . In Oberstdorf he reached 52nd place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 in Oberstdorf, Aaström jumped from the normal as well as the large hill to 48th place. At the start of the 1987/88 season , Aaström jumped in Lake Placid with 7th place for the first time in his career among the top ten and won World Cup points for the first time. At the end of the season at Holmenkollen in Oslo , he was again tenth and finished the season with 15 points in 44th place in the overall World Cup standings. In the following years there were no further successes. At the ski flying world championship in 1990 in Vikersund Aaström flew to 52nd place. In 1992 he ended his active ski jumping career.
