Eric Gösta Magnus Jernemyr (born June 18, 1976 in Orsa , Sweden ) is a Swedish handball player . His body length is 2.00 m.
He is mostly used as a cyclist , but he receives most of the deployment times in defense.
Magnus Jernemyr made his debut in 1994 for Redbergslids IK in the Swedish first division. There he won the Swedish championship in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2003. In 2005 Jernemyr was looking for a new challenge and moved to BM Torevieja in the Spanish league ASOBAL . In the 2007/08 season he played for the Danish top club GOG Svendborg TGI before signing with FC Barcelona in the summer of 2008. With Barcelona he won the championship in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as well as the EHF Champions League in 2011 . In summer 2013 he joined LUGI HF . In November 2014, the German Bundesliga club GWD Minden signed him. With Minden he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the 2014/15 season. A season later he managed to return to the Bundesliga with Minden. In 2017 he left the club. In May 2018 he joined the Spanish club Handbol Marratxí.
Jernemyr has played 116 caps for the Swedish national team so far . With Sweden he took part in the 2008 European Handball Championship in Norway. In the summer of 2012 he took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the silver medal.
