Magnus Lundberg

Magnus Lundberg (born June 6, 1972 in Halmstad ) is a Swedish church historian.

Life

Magnus Lundberg graduated from Lund University with a degree in missiology with a focus on ecumenism in 2002 and was a researcher and professor for church and mission studies at Uppsala University from 2004 to 2015 . Since 2016 he has also been a professor of church and mission studies there, and a specialist in church history. His research was mainly concerned with Latin American church and missionary history with an emphasis on the colonial era, but he also dealt with modern Catholic traditionalism, the history of Swedish missionary research, and the West Swedish revival in the early 19th century.
