Magoo's Puddle Jumper is a 1956 American animated short film directed by Pete Burness .

action

The extremely short-sighted Mister Magoo buys a “new used one” from a car dealer, even if his nephew Waldo tries to prevent him from making this bad purchase, as it is a rundown old-timer. Magoo first drives the car backwards for a while before driving it forward through a corner store, among other things. The old man ignores a traffic policeman who follows him and tells him to pull the car to the side of the road and stop. Instead, he drives down a pier and lands on the ocean floor.

Sitting dry inside, Mr. Magoo comments on the apparently extremely rainy weather, the fish he thinks are cars and his run-down hometown in general. When a seal keeps sounding the external horn and Mr. Magoo tries to confront the troublemaker, water gets into the car. Mr. Magoo unconsciously drives back to the pier and again through the corner store, so that the traffic cop confronts him a second time and asks him to wind down the window. Mr. Magoo complies and the policeman is thrown to the ground by the amount of water that escapes. The policeman, who is now lying on the ground in a pool of water, is now rebuked by Mr. Magoo: As long as he does not comply with his personal hygiene, he will not speak to him. Mr. Magoo drives away while the cop tries unsuccessfully to start his motorcycle.
