When Magoo Flew is a 1955 American animated short film directed by Pete Burness .
action
The extremely short-sighted Mr. Magoo wants to go to the cinema. He mistakenly mistook the nearby airport for the cinema building, happily reads the advertising posters for Hawaii trips as a hint for a 3D film, pulls out a "movie ticket" from the Your Weight Fortune machine and sits down in his airplane seat full of anticipation. He is enthusiastic about the 3D feeling when the plane takes off, as it feels as if you were sitting on the plane yourself. He also praises the realism of the dialogues, as a detective is talking to a stewardess near his armchair and is looking for a thief. He happens to be the person sitting next to him, Mr. Magoos, and escapes, leaving his bag behind. Mr. Magoo decides to bring it to him.
Because of his short-sightedness, he opens the emergency exit he holds for the elevator to the lobby and walks around on the wings , criticizing the ailerons as a potential stumbling block. He continues to wander around on the plane, finally looks unmoved from the outside into the cockpit and is pushed inside by the pilots using a gripper arm. Mr. Magoo brings the thief his suitcase when the thief has just protested to the detective that he has never owned one.
The plane lands and Mr. Magoo leaves the airport. He praises the stewardess for the good film, but regrets that it was not a cartoon and wants to know whether they would also show the films about the short, very short-sighted man who always laughs so strangely.
