action

Suzuki Sora is a nice girl who lives in the country. Following a promise to her father, she leaves her hometown of Biei on Hokkaidō and moves to Tokyo to attend a school for sorcerers' apprentices. In doing so, she is confronted both with the transition to life in a big city and with the rejection of many people towards the magicians. In addition, she sees herself repeatedly confronted with the mysterious boy Gōta Midorikawa, who also trains to become a magician, but can hardly show any success because he is poor at magic. Although the two are very strangers at first and he scares them off with his cold manner, the two find each other and begin the adventures of life and magic together.

Origin and publications

The manga builds on the basic scenario of Someday's Dreamers and its successor The Way of Sun and Wind and takes over a world in which magic is part of everyday life and is dominated by some people in a natural way. The discrimination against magicians by normal people is discussed again and again, who repeatedly make ruthless use of their abilities without showing any real thanks.

Like its predecessors, the manga series was written by Norie Yamada and illustrated by Kumichi Yoshizuki . The manga was published in Shōnen Ace magazine . The chapters have been summarized in two tankōbon .

Anime

The animation studio Hal Film Maker adapted the manga series as a 12-part anime television series. Directed by doing Osamu Kobayashi . The background music was written by Takefumi Haketa , while Toshiharu Iijima was the artistic director. It is noticeable that many of the backgrounds were taken as pure photographs, with the drawn figures moving in the foreground.
