Mahasti ( Persian مهستی Mahastī ; born as Khadijeh Dadehbala ; * November 16, 1946 in Kermanshah , Iran ; † June 25, 2007 in Santa Rosa , USA ) was an Iranian singer .

Mahasti was the younger sister of the famous singer Hayedeh . It was discovered by Parviz Yahaghi , a famous Iranian composer. She was one of the few singers whose career began with Golhaye Rangarang (a very well-known music program on Iranian State Radio).

Mahasti, in a way, introduced a new era in Iranian music by establishing herself as a woman. For her more than 40 years of artistic performance of Persian pop music, she was honored in 2005 with the award "Persian Female Pop-Classic Vocalist of Excellence" by the "World Academy of Arts, Literature and Media". Mahasti released more than 35 albums.

After the Iranian Revolution in 1978/1979 she emigrated to Great Britain and a few years later to the USA . She died of cancer at the age of 60.
