Mahmud Mauid

Mahmud Mauid (* 1942 in Saffuriya near Nazareth , League of Nations mandate for Palestine ) is a Palestinian writer and literary scholar.

Life

He had to flee to Syria in 1948 . After studying literature in Damascus , he obtained the diploma for higher studies in Cairo . He then did his doctorate at the Sorbonne in Paris . Mauid has taught in Algeria , the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, and Syria.
