The memorial in Quad-Ichendorf with the three motives "prisoners in the fiery furnace," "Mourning Mothers" and "Missing" is located on the corner of Cologne and Aachen Street / Wacholderweg in the district Quad-Ichendorf the county town of Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft .

The memorial was erected in 1965 by the local association of those returning from war in Quadrath-Ichendorf. It was created by the sculptor Fritz Theilmann (1902–1991) , who came from southern Germany . It consists of a brick block with convex curved sides. Metal reliefs on the three sides depict the sufferings of war.

The three motifs are: "Prisoners in the furnace", "Mourning mothers" and "Missing". The relief with the three men in the fiery furnace recalls the tradition of the Old Testament ( DanEU ).

"3-sided brick block with convex curved sides, on these metal reliefs: three men in the furnace, women at the grave, risen Christ."
