May Kivelä (2014)

Mai Kivelä (born December 20, 1982 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish human rights activist and feminist . She has been Secretary General of the Left Youth ( Vasemmistonuorten ) since 2013 and runs for the Left Alliance ( Vasemmistoliitto ) in the 2015 parliamentary elections .

Kivelä was active in numerous non-governmental organizations , including Greenpeace , the industrial union Teollisuusalojen ammattiliitto and KEPA , a service center for development cooperation .

Kivela studied sociology and civic engagement . In 2013 she obtained a Masters in Environmental and Development Science from King's College London .
