1909 Grand Prix season
A Grand Prix de l'ACF was originally planned for the 1909 motorsport season . However, due to the lack of interest from the European automotive industry in participating, the Automobile Club de France ultimately had to forego holding the race.
There were three major races, two of them in the USA . In Europe , the Targa Florio in Sicily was of international importance.
