Grand Prix season 1916

In the Grand Prix season of 1916 , no Grandes Épreuves were advertised by the World Automobile Association ( AIACR) because of the First World War .

Three major races took place - all in the USA : the Indianapolis 300 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Vanderbilt Cup and the American Grand Prix in Santa Monica .
