Grand Prix season 1911
As in the previous two years, no Grand Prix de l'ACF was held in the 1911 motorsport season . In contrast, the Grand Prix de France on the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans was a race of little international importance held by the local Automobile Club de l'Ouest .
Seven major races took place, five of them in the United States . In Europe , the Targa Florio in Sicily was the most important event.
