Maike Looß

Maike Looß (* 1959 ) is a professor at the Institute for Didactics of Natural Sciences at the Technical University of Braunschweig .

Life

In Bremen, Looß studied biology and art education for the teaching post of secondary level II. After her legal clerkship, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Bremen and received her doctorate with a dissertation on AIDS as a subject of biology lessons . She then worked at the University of Flensburg as a research assistant, where she completed her habilitation. In October 2000 she accepted an offer at the Technical University of Braunschweig and has since headed the department for "Biology and Didactics of Biology".

Her main research interests include the evaluation of the theory-practice problem in didactics, textbook analysis and sex education .
