Csobánc Castle
The Csobánc is crowned by the ruins of the Csobánc Castle (mentioned for the first time in 1272), which was conquered by Austrian troops in 1709 with considerable devastation. The damage resulting from the conquest was never repaired, as a result of which the castle fell into disrepair over the centuries. The remains of the great tower still protrude about 8 m high today, only remnants of the remaining walls are left.
