Mainpoint is a German dark rock band from Rostock .

history

The band was founded in 1996 as a trio. After their first demo with tongue meat and their first live performances, they were joined by the keyboardist Silke. First they released the live album Our Live Pink Image and then the EP Lost Senses . A second guitarist was found shortly afterwards with Karsten, who joined the band. After the second album Heaven / Earth was released in 2002 , there was a change of drummer and the exit of a guitarist. A year later, the third album, Planet Paradise, was released by Dröönland Productions.

In 2006 they went back to the studio, but this time the band changed producer and studio. The fourth album Under Water was released in 2007 on the self-founded independent label Drei Wahl Records of the Rostock band Third Choice . Ulf R. also joined the band as the new lead guitarist.
