The Mainz magazine. Mittelrheinisches Jahrbuch für Archeologie, Kunst und Geschichte is a specialist journal for historical research . It is published by the Mainzer Altertumsverein . It has been published periodically since 1845, initially as a journal of the Association for Research into Rhenish History and Antiquities with a total of four volumes, then from 1906 as a Mainz journal. From 1992/1993 to 2013 it was distributed by the Philipp von Zabern publishing house . It has been self-published since 2013.
