Majalgaon is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

The city is part of the Beed district . Majalgaon has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 23 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had a total of 49,453 inhabitants, of which 25,539 were men and 23,914 were women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of approx. 56%, followed by Muslims with approx. 36% and Buddhists with approx. 7%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 82.60%.

The city is located near the Majalgaon Dam, built in 1987 .
