Beed ( Marathi : बीड, Bīḍ , Urdu : بیڑ Bhir , Bid ) is a district in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

The administrative seat is the city of the same name, Beed . In 2011, 2,585,049 people lived in the 10,693 km² district, compared to 2,161,250 in 2001. The population density is 241 inhabitants per km².
