Makino Shin'ichi

Makino Shin'ichi ( Japanese 牧野 信 一 ; born November 12, 1896 in Odawara , Kanagawa Prefecture ; † March 24, 1936 ) was a Japanese writer.

Makino studied English literature at Waseda University . At first he learned from Zenzō Kasai , but soon a humorous and romantic-fantastic tendency showed in his work. Makino published several novels in the style of "first-person" ( Shishōsetsu ), including Chichi o uru ko (1924) and Kinada mura (1936). He committed suicide in 1936 because of an illness.
