Makoto Tsuruga ( Japanese 敦 賀 信 人 , Tsuruga Makoto ; born November 3, 1977 in Tokoro , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese curler .

Tsuruga made his international debut at the 1996 World Junior Championship in Red Deer , but he remained without a medal. In 1996 he won his first precious metal with the silver medal at the Pacific Championship in Taipei . Tsuruga won the Japanese championships four times from 1996 to 1999 with the then Olympic team, 2004 with the Super Mariners and 2005 with the miya team .

Tsuruga played as the skip of the Japanese team in the XVIII. Winter Olympics in Nagano in curling. The team took fifth place.

On the 21st to. December 24, 2007 he took part in the 1st national championship in mixed doubles with Ayumi Ogasawara as a partner. Both made it to the finals, but were defeated by Michiko Taira and Kenji Tomabechi , who thus became Japan's selection for the 2008 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship .
