Makram Khoury
Makram Khoury (* 1945 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli actor of Palestinian origin. He is one of the best-known Arabic speaking actors. His daughter Clara Khoury is also an actress.
Life
Khoury's family lived in the city of Acco in northern Israel . After graduating from high school in 1963, he began studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem , which he dropped out early in favor of acting. In 1987 he was awarded the Israel Prize .
He is a member of the Syrian Orthodox Church .
