Makunudhoo (also: Makunudu ) is an island in the Maldives in the North Malé Atoll .
The Makunudu Island Resort is located on the tourist island .
geography
The island is located in the northwest of the North Malé Atoll, approx. 35 km from the airport and the capital Malé . The speedboat ride to Makunudhoo takes just under an hour.
The island is approximately 210 × 100 meters (approx. 0.02 km²). Like all islands in the Maldives, it is surrounded by a coral reef , due to the prevailing tropical climate, there is dense, tropical vegetation .
tourism
No local population lives on Makunudhoo, instead the private island is used as a resort for tourists . The Makunudu Iceland Resort offers 36 bungalows, further located on the island a PADI - diving center .
