Mala is an uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .
geography
Mala is located in the estuary between ʻUtungake or Vavaʻu and Kapa in the center of Vavaʻu, exactly between the villages of Nga'unoho (Talihau, ʻUtungake) and 'Otea (Kapa).
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vavaʻu group, Mala is occasionally hit by cyclones .
