Malaya Lopatka

Malaja Lopatka ( Russian Малая Лопатка ) is a naval base of the Northern Fleet in the fjord Sapadnaja Liza on the Barents Sea .

It was built in the 1950s and housed, among other things, the first nuclear-powered submarine, the K-3 Leninsky Komsomol . There are five piers and a dock for repairs. The base is supplied via the city of Saozjorsk .
