Painter of the Nicosia-Olpe
Painter of the Nicosia-Olpe also painter of the Olpe of Nicosia is the emergency name of an Attic vase painter in the late phase of black-figure vase painting .
The painter of Nicosia-Olpe was in the late 6th century BC. Active. He is close to the ghost painter and, like him, particularly likes to decorate lekyths of the Sub-Deianeira form and shoulder lekyths and bowls . His type B bowls belong to the late work and date from around 500 BC. He decorates his bowls with a black stripe over the handle zone, which corresponds to the decoration scheme of ribbon bowls , but his type B bowls had a different profile.
