Kylix

The Kylix ( ancient Greek ἡ κύλιξ , plural Kylikes ; Latin : Calix ) is in ancient Greece a flat drinking vessel , in German, a drinking cup. There are two opposite handles on the body of the vessel. In contrast to the higher kantharos , these do not protrude beyond the rim of the vessel. She can sometimes have a high foot. When drinking, the vessel was usually touched by the foot. The kylix was used to enjoy wine.
