| Maliinannguaq Margrethe Marcussen Mølgaard [ maˈliːˌnaŋːuɑq mɑˈgʁɛːdə ˈmɑːkusn̩ ˈmøːlgɒˀ ] (also Malînánguaĸ Margrethe Markussen Mølgård ; born December 17, 1960 in Qullissat ) is a Greenlandic politician and actress , teacher , and religious artist ( Inuit Ata journalist ), Inuit Ata journalist , and artist ( Inuit Ata ) .

Life

Maliinannguaq Marcussen Mølgaard is the great-granddaughter of Tobias Gabrielsen, a participant in the Danmark Expedition 1906–1908, in which his colleague Jørgen Brønlund was killed. Maliinannguaq is a trained journalist. As such, she worked at the KNR . She later worked as a teacher in Qeqertarsuaq .

In 1995 she was elected to Inatsisartut after she had failed in the 1991 election. In 1997 she was also elected mayor of Qeqertarsuaq municipality . In 1999 she was re-elected in parliament, from which she left in 2002.

In 1997 she played the mother of the protagonist Smilla in Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow . Nowadays she is mainly active as an artist.
