Malin Gut (born August 1, 2000 in Lenzburg ) is a Swiss football player . She has played for Arsenal Women FC since 2020 and for the Swiss national team since 2018 .

Career

She played well in her youth at FC Fislisbach and FC Baden . From 2012 to 2015 she attended the Football Academy of the Swiss Football Association in Huttwil and Biel . In the summer of 2015, she switched to the reigning Swiss champions FC Zurich Women . In the first year she was able to fight for a regular place in the first team. In the 2015/16, 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, she and her team won the double. She made her first appearance in the UEFA Women's Champions League in the 2016/17 season and reached the round of 16 with her team. In total, she played 15 Champions League games for FCZ. In the 2019/20 season she played at Grasshopper Club Zurich . The move abroad to Arsenal London was announced on July 3, 2020 .

National team

Gut played for the U-19 national team for the first time on September 13, 2017. In July 2018 she took part in the U-19 European Championship in Switzerland. She led her team to the field as captain. The Swiss team was eliminated after the preliminary round.

On October 5, 2018, she made her debut in the Swiss senior team in the World Cup qualifier against Belgium . In this Barrage game, she played the full distance in both the first and second leg.
