The Malkohas are birds from the family of the cuckoo birds, which belong to the subfamily of the great-billed cuckoos (Phaenicophaeinae). A part is assigned to the genus Phaenicophaeus . The term commonly used in English is mainly used in German for red-faced malkoha .
features
Malkohas are large cuckoo birds and are native to the tropics of Asia . In contrast to many other species of cuckoos, they are not brood parasites , but raise their offspring themselves. They are resident birds .
