Malte Braack

Malte Braack (* 1966 ) is a German mathematician and university professor .

Scientific career

Malte Braack studied mathematics at the University of Hamburg and the University Complutense Madrid from 1988 to 1994 and graduated with a diploma . From 1994 to 1995 he was a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the University of Heidelberg . Between 1995 and 1998 he was a member of the DFG - Graduate School "Modeling and Scientific Computing in Mathematics and Natural Sciences" of the University of Heidelberg. Between 1999 and 2003 he worked as a research assistant at the DFG- SFB 359 at Heidelberg University. From 2003 until his habilitation in 2005 he was a research assistant (C1) at the University of Heidelberg. In 2005 he became a private lecturer (C1) and worked as such in Heidelberg until 2006. In the same year he received a professorship for applied mathematics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , which he still holds.
