Malte Hinz

Malte Hinz (born December 9, 1953 in Beckum , Westphalia) is a German journalist .

Professional background

Malte Hinz began his journalistic career in 1971 with a traineeship at Hellweger Anzeiger . After taking over as editor , he worked in various editorial offices of this newspaper. In 1977 he moved to the Westfälische Rundschau , where he worked as a local editor and was in charge of the local editorial office in Lünen until he moved to the chief editor . From 1979 to 1982 he completed the part-time course in journalism training in the communication sciences department at the Free University of Berlin . From December 5, 2008, Hinz was editor-in-chief of the Westfälische Rundschau. He remained in this position even after the editorial office was closed.

From 1985 to 2008, Hinz Chairman of the Works Council in the newspaper publisher Westphalia GmbH & Co. KG , in which the Westfälische Rundschau appeared from 2004 to 2008 also national chairman of the German Journalists Union (dju) in the services union Ver.di .
