Maltese crown

The Maltese crown is a silver-gilt bow crown of the Russian Tsar Paul (1754–1801).

On the orb in the crown center is a Maltese Cross placed. It was intended for the time from 1799, when Tsar Paul was Grand Master of the Order of Malta . Production can be narrowed down to 1798.

The crown is in since about 1827 Armory of the Kremlin kept.
