Maltitz pavilion
The Maltitz Pavilion is a Baroque building in Puccinistraße 2a in the Saarbrücken district of St. Arnual . The pavilion is a listed building as an individual monument.
history
The building was built around 1780 as a garden pavilion for Hofrat and Oberhofmarschall Karl Heinrich Franz von Maltitz . After the Second World War , the building fell into disrepair and was supposed to be demolished, but was restored in the 1980s and now serves as a residential building.
architecture
The single-storey building with corner pilasters and a gabled central projection with ox-eye was originally a garden pavilion. The rear entrance also has a central projection and thus has a strictly symmetrical floor plan. The house is an example of the baroque garden houses from the 2nd half of the 18th century.
