Malwarebytes Inc. is an American IT security company from Santa Clara that offers the Malwarebytes software solution for identifying and eliminating malware for the Windows , Android and macOS operating systems . 2017 generated Malwarebytes Inc. generated sales of 126.2 million US dollars .

history

Malwarebytes was founded in January 2008 by Marcin Kleczynski and Bruce Harrison. However, the company's origins go back to 2004, when Kleczynski said he taught himself how to program after his computer was infected by malware.

In 2011, Malwarebytes acquired HPhosts, a company that blacklisted websites and ad servers. In June 2015, the company announced that it was moving its headquarters from 10 Almaden Boulevard in San Jose, California to a new 4800 square foot office on the top two floors of the 12-story Freedom Circle 3979, California. The company grew 10 million users in just one year from 2014 to 2015 and increased revenue by 1653% in 2014. By 2015, Malwarebytes had fixed over 250 million computers and over five billion malware threats worldwide. Malware Bytes currently has over 700 employees in 18 countries.

In addition to its headquarters in Santa Clara, California, the company has branches in Clearwater, Florida , Cork in Ireland , Tallinn in Estonia and Singapore .
