Mamadou Ouédraogo

Mamadou Ouédraogo (* 1906 in Ouahigouya , Upper Senegal and Niger , today Burkina Faso ; † September 9, 1978 ibid) was an official and politician from Upper Volta , today's Burkina Faso.

Ouédraogo comes from the ruling family of the Yatenga Empire on his mother's side .

From 1948 to 1955 Ouédraogo was a member of the French National Assembly for the Colony of Upper Volta . He obtained his seat on the list of the Pro-French Union pour la défense des intérêts de la Haute-Volta . Ouédraogo voted in parliament, among other things, for the admission of the Federal Republic of Germany to NATO .

He decided not to run for the 1956 election and ended his political career.
