The Mamelon Point (English for cusp tip is) an increased headland at the Foyn coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 18 km east-northeast of Cape Northrop and marks the southern boundary of the entrance to Hess Inlet .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1947 and named it Mamelon Island, mistakenly assuming it was an island . This descriptive designation was adapted in the course of further measurements.
